Mark Noel Kish, age 62, of Elyria, passed away peacefully on the evening of Monday August 23, 2021, following an extended illness; he was born in Lorain on December 20, 1958 and had been a resident of Elyria for the past twenty-five years.

Throughout his life Mark exhibited a zest for life and possessed a smile that would brighten everyone’s day. Affiliated with the Lucy Idol Center for more than fifty years, he was able to experience and participate in a multitude of events including bowling, swimming in the ocean, tobogganing, and small airplane rides. He enjoyed meeting and conversing with new people and loved food and cookouts. Mark was an avid sports fan and afficionado of all genres of music. He especially liked marching bands and would smile broadly when the Southview Marching Saints paraded down East 42nd Street annually to open each new high school football season. Additional interests included day trips, playing cards, watching television game shows including Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, solving jigsaw puzzles, and playing board games with a special fondness for Trouble.

He is survived by his sister Paula H. Belch of Lorain, nieces Suzanne N. Belch of Lorain and Catherine R. Grudier of Wellington, great nephews Sean, Donovan, Zachary, and Dane, and great niece Gabrielle.

Mark was preceded in death by his father Ronald M. Kish and mother Jacqueline A. Kish (nee Waldecki).

Mark's family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at the Lucy Idol Center, Cedar Creek Group Home and Mercy New Life Hospice for the loving care and support that they provided.
