Managing Cosmetologist of Albie's Beauty Salon in Lorain, Age 83

Margaret Koch (nee Bakos), age 83, of Broadview Heights and formerly of Lorain and Avon Lake, died peacefully on Saturday at the Holy Family Home in Parma. She was born in Lorain on February 5, 1927 and had been a resident of Broadview Heights for the past six years following a ten year period of residence in Avon Lake.

Marge attended Lorain High School and was a graduate of the Cleveland Academy of Cosmetology. She was employed for many years as the managing cosmetologist at Albie’s Beauty Salon which was formerly located on Pearl Avenue in Lorain. She later worked as a production assistant for Flexo Products in Westlake.

Mrs. Koch was a parishioner of Assumption Catholic Church in Broadview Heights and was a former parishioner of both St. Joseph Catholic Church in Avon Lake and the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post # 451 in Lorain.

Marge was an avid supporter of animal rescue and humane organizations throughout Lorain and western Cuyahoga Counties. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family, attending church, and league bowling.

She is survived by her son Kurt J. Koch (Molly) of Broadview Heights, step-son Michael G. Koch of Fairview Park, step-daughter Denise Koskovics (Joseph) of Willoughby, and by grandsons Cameron Koch and Joseph Koskovics.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbert in 1994, by her parents Ignatz and Elizabeth (nee Bonfordi) Bakos, and by brothers Alex Boros, William Boros, and Ignatius Bakos.
