| Mary A. Gercak (nee Trupo), 94, of Canton, Texas, died Thursday July 8, 2010 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Canton, Texas after a one-year illness. She was born October 12, 1915 in McKeesrocks, Pennsylvania and had resided in Canton, Texas since 1995. She had lived in Henrietta Township from 1950 to 1988 and in Lorain from 1988 until moving to Texas. Mary worked at the Wise Co, Lorain Garment and Dalton Clothing as a presser retiring in 1963. She was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in South Amherst, Slovak Catholic Sokols and Knights of St. John Ladies Auxiliary. Mary enjoyed bingo, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her children Francis G. “Fritz” Gercak (Joyce) of Hallsville, Texas and Mary Clevinger of Cookeville, Tennessee, grandchildren Lisa Sayle, Renee Jolly, Laura Profant-Smith, Tanya Oleska, Derek Clevinger, Vincent Gercak and Concetta Clevinger, stepgrandchildren Jennifer Swanner and Wesley Bale, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Adam Gercak in 1988, parents Jim and Mary Trupo (nee Cirigliano) and sisters Thelma Trupo and Rose Dudasik |
