| Agnes E. “Beth” Toth, (nee Wayda), age 79, of Lorain, died Tuesday February 23rd at her residence. She was born in Edmonton,, Alberta, Canada on July 2, 1930 and had been a resident of Lorain since 1956 coming from Dunneville, Ontario. While residing in Canada, Beth was employed as a secretary for Canadian Canners. She was granted her United Sates Citizenship during ceremonies conducted on April 18, 1969. Mrs. Toth was long-time volunteer and Presiding Judge for the Lorain County Board of Elections. She was a past parishioner of St. Michael Byzantine Rite Catholic Church in Lorain and was currently a parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elyria Township. Beth was a talented seamstress who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Additional interest included flower gardening and working with all types of crafts. She is survived by her husband of more than fifty years Richard W. Toth, son Michael W. Toth (wife Mary Beth) of Sheffield Lake, daughter Laura Lynn Petro (husband Joseph) residing in Parma, and by grandsons Jared J. Petro and Samuel M. Toth. She was preceded in death by her father Michael Wayda, by a sister Rosemary Stenberg, and by brothers George and John B. Wayda. |
