His first assignment was as Parochial Vicar of St. Ignatius of Antioch in Cleveland. He was transferred on June 30, 1983 to serve in the same role at St. Michael Parish in Independence.  During this assignment, Father Glepko also served as Chaplain of the Knights of Columbus, Lafayette Council # 3970. Father Bob was a true renaissance man who displayed a multitude of talents and interests. He was an accomplished photographer using both film and digital media and had amassed a large collection of photos chronicling favorite travel destinations, personal items of interest, and significant events involving his immediate and extended family. He was also an audiophile and enjoyed all genres of music ranging from Vivaldi to Heart and Lady Gaga. His collection of compact discs was estimated to exceed one thousand in number. Undoubtedly, his favorite recording artists were the Beatles. He was an artisan of stained glass and gifted many of his creations to friends as well as donating countless others for charitable fundraisers. In addition, he was a diehard fan of the Cleveland Browns and formerly served as the team’s Chaplain. He enjoyed baseball and following the Cleveland Indians & Guardians. Even during his final days, he often  would be found wearing his baseball glove while holding a baseball in his other hand. Not known by many, he also officiated at the real-life wedding of Indians’ & Guardians’ mascot Slider.

Survivors include brothers Thomas (Barbara) of Olmsted Falls and William (Karen) of Parma along with niece Sherri, great nephews Noah and Luis, and great niece Diana.
