Patricia A. Olah (nee Milde), age 85, of Lorain, passed away at Mercy Regional Medical Center on the afternoon of Wednesday December 29, 2021. Born in Lorain on February 22, 1936, she was a graduate of Clearview High School where she had competed as a member of the varsity track team

A long-time parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Pat was also a former member of the church’s Altar & Rosary Society.

For forty-three years she had served as the head bookkeeper and cafeteria manager at St. Vincent de Paul Parish School; previously, she had worked as a bookkeeper for Al-Lou & Jim’s Auto Parts as well as a production assistant at the Worthington Ball Company in Elyria. In addition, Pat displayed a love for floral design and had been the owner and proprietor of the Tender Moments Floral and Gift Shop.

In her free time she was a gifted seamstress and skilled in all forms of needlework including knitting and crocheting. She was also an accomplished artisan of ceramics and painting with acrylics.

Survivors include daughters Patti Sunagel (Steven) of Amherst, Johna Ray (Jerry) of Elyria, along with Charla Hamilton (Jim) and Carrie Masters both of Lorain. Pat also leaves nine grandchildren, six great granddaughters, and one great great granddaughter along with her brother Leonard J. Milde (Mary Ann) of Oberlin.

Pat was preceded in death by husband John in 2007, daughter Lynn James in 2002, father Leonard M. Milde in 1985, and mother Alice A. Milde (nee DeChant), in 1989.

Funeral Schedule

Friends may call on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel – 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. At the family’s request, all attendees are requested to wear facial coverings and to practice social distancing during the visitation. Funeral services will be Tuesday beginning with closing prayers offered in the funeral chapel at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church – 41295 North Ridge Road, Elyria. Reverend Neil G. Walters and Rev. Mr. Edgar Gonzales will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
