Harold R. Linger, 93, of Lorain, died Saturday November 16, 2019 at his home after a short illness.

He was born June 22, 1926 in Lost Creek, West Virginia and had moved to Lorain in 1953 to work at US Steel.  He worked in the Three Seamless Mill for 30 years retiring in 1983.

Harold enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his daughter Linda K. Lough (Sampson) of Lorain, grandsons: Ronald Linger (Jodi Baker) and Jeremy Linger (Stephanie) all of Lorain; great grandchildren: Gracie Linger, Elijah Rodriguez, Angelina Linger, Jeremy Linger Jr, Noah Shinsky and Caleb Shinsky and great great granddaughter Sophia Baker.  He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Linger in 1999, son Ronald Linger in 1987, parents Heaston & Lula Linger (nee Smith) and all his brothers and sisters.

Funeral Schedule

The family will receive friends Thursday November 21, 2019 from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at noon at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain.  The Rev. Danny Parsons, chaplain of Sprenger Hospice, will preside.  Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
