Gluvna Shimo Hromada

Cynthia M. Heyer-Zadorozny, age 57, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, and formerly of Amherst, passed away at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan on the afternoon of Tuesday July 25, 2017 following a brief illness. 

Born in Elyria on April 30, 1960 Cindi had been a resident of Amherst prior to relocating to Saint Clair Shores in May. She attended Southview High School and was most recently employed as a meat cutter for the Save-A-Lot grocery stores in Brook Park and Elyria

In her free time she enjoyed casino junkets, lottery scratch-off tickets, and posting Facebook selfies. She was also an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Indians, and The Ohio State University. In addition, Cindi liked attending Super Bowl parties hosted by the Amherst Eagles. Proud to maintain many of her childhood friendships, she also enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren 

Survivors include her sons Franklin Rodriguez, Jr. (Samantha) of Lorain, and Damon R. Rodriguez (Jackie) of Sheffield Lake, step-son John A. Zadorozny, Jr. of Elyria, eleven grandchildren, and one great grandson. She also leaves sisters Karen Engle (Rodger) of Amherst, Patricia Baisden (Scott) of Cynthiana, Kentucky, step-sisters Debbie Kitchenmaster of Oconto, Wisconsin, Mitzi Turner of Bradenton, Florida,  step-brother Edward Turner also residing in Florida, and companion Wayne Lisak of St. Clair Shores, Michigan.

Cindi was preceded in death by her husband John A. Zadorozny, Sr.,  father Gerald Heyer, mother Wanda Campbell-Turner, brothers Daniel Heyer, Gregory Heyer, and James Heyer, sister Janet Lee Heyer, and her pet dog Boy.

Funeral Schedule

Friends may call Sunday July 30th from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel – 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Monday beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel. Reverend Karson Collins, Lead Pastor of Great Lakes Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
