Elizabeth M. Livchak (nee Maslanka), 90, of Amherst Township, died Tuesday March 9, 2010 at Golden Acres Nursing Home in Amherst after a brief illness.She was born October 20, 1919 in Lorain and had resided in the Amherst Township and Lorain areas all of her life. Elizabeth graduated from Lorain High School with the Class of 1937B. She was a Beautician and owned her own beauty shop in Lorain for several years. She had also worked at O’Neill’s Department Store in Sheffield Centre. She enjoyed collecting dolls, sewing, crossword puzzles and bird watching. She is survived by her daughters Judith Ritchie (Robert) of Winchester, Virginia and Carol Livchak of Amherst Township, grandchildren Robert Ritchie, Jr. (Amber) and Carrie Winters (Robert), great granddaughter Kennedy Ritchie, sisters Gertrude Reifert of Madison, Wisconsin and Joan Miller (Floyd) of Vermilion, brother Raymond Maslanka (Connie) of Vermilion, nieces Melody Traister and Jean Evechick and several other loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband Virgil Bennett, second husband Harry Livchak in 1996, parents Louis Maslanka and Sofia Maslanka-Reifert, brother Peter Maslanka and sisters Anna Balmert and Louise Evechick. |
