Emily Ehrman, (nee Yakovich), age 83 of Amherst Township, died Thursday November 16th, 2006. Mrs. Ehrman was born in Marianna, Pennsylvania on August 24, 1923 and had been a resident of Lorain since 1928 coming from Pennsylvania.

She was a graduate of Lorain High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society. Mrs. Ehrman was employed as a clerk in the tabulating department of U.S. Steel Corporation’s Lorain-Cuyahoga Works where she retired in 1980 following a career that spanned thirty-five years with the steel producer. She had formerly been employed by the Weitz Clothing Company of Lorain.

Emily was a parishioner of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Lorain whose interests included playing cards and taking trips to Las Vegas.

She is survived by brothers Matthew Yakovich of Sheffield Village, Joseph Yakovich of Lorain, two nieces, and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 2001, by her parents Anthony and Mary (nee Derezic) Yakovich, by a brother James “Jack” Yakovich in 2004, and by her sister Emily Waszily in 1999.

Funeral Schedule:
Private family funeral services were held Saturday in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Paul Krajnik, pastor of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church officiating. Burial followed in Ridge Hill Memorial Park – Amherst Township.
